Perms at The Beauty Parlour in Almonte

We do perms!!!! Some of us will remember back in the 1970’s and ’80’s when perms were all the rage? While not as common today, there are still some hairstylists that do them. At The Beauty Parlour in Almonte we do perms well. Below is an example of a perm just to get your creative mind in gear.
We are in December and it is hard to believe time flies by so quickly. With Christmas approaching and the New Year right after, perhaps you would like to change things up a bit and try a perm. However, there are some considerations before getting a perm. The first thing you should be aware of is that this hair treatment is a commitment—there’s a reason it’s called a “perm” (permanent) and not a “temp” (temporary). If you want to take the plunge, we can help. A fantastic upside is a well cared for perm can last from three to six months.

Some things to consider:

First, do a hair check. Be honest about the condition of your hair. Damaged hair is not a good candidate for a perm. Healthy hair will make for better curls.

Do-it-yourself kits are available at the drug store but we recommend going to a specialist. Perms require good timing and know how and we want your hair looking its best.

A good perm on someone with lots of hair comes in a range of prices, especially if you opt for a better quality product and spiral curls of different diameters to mimic a natural look. And depending on your hair, it can make for a longer appointment – perhaps up to two hours.

Once we see your hair and discuss the look you want, we can let you know which perm options are best for your hair, based on your budget.

If you have any questions, come in for a consultation and we can give you suggestions based on our years of experience and your own hair. It is always best if we can see your hair and thus give you our best recommendations. We look forward to seeing you soon.

P.S. Ask us about our “UN-PERM”
